JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Conservation reports it has finished its testing efforts for chronic wasting disease for the 2019-2020 surveillance year.
The new reports came with 46 new confirmed cases of the deadly deer disease. But MDC spokesperson Joe Jerek told KXCV/KRNW that even with the new cases, Missouri has been able to limit the spread of the disease.
These new findings bring the total number of chronic wasting disease cases in the state up to 162.
